I am very sorry to hear suddenly about prof. Shi, her loss.
I have nothing to have any words except surprise and sad.
 
Remember her activity and leadership at RadTech Asia at Guilin in China.  It was held first time in China many years ago.
My last direct conversation with Prof. Shi that was RadTech Asia in 2013 in Shanghai, she helped a lot for the location determination after the next of Shanghai for RadTech Asia in Tokyo.
It also the seeing is believing for her leadership and enthusiasm through the International Conference including IFRCID.
 
I extend to her my heartfelt condolcences.

勝村です。

Prof. Shi の突然の訃報に接し、驚くばかりです。

君が学生だった 1989 年の 3 月に初めての中国、合肥の USTC に二週間滞在しました。滞在中は、持参したパラフィンのモデル化合物とスピントラップ剤を活用して、ESR測定をして楽しみました。それ以来、会議の折、来日の折と度々会ってサイエンスの話や家族の話をしたりして楽しい時間を過ごしました。最近は、御主人と一緒に退職後を楽しまれているものとばかり思っていました。

大変残念です。以下の言葉をお送りします。
Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace!  
I still remember with pleasure to stay with her at  USTC in 1989. Since then, we have been good friends not only in science but also in life.

Dear Prof. Lin
I was very surprised and shocked by such a sad news! The members of RadTech Japan and myself (as the one of her friends andthe Vice President of RadTech Asia Organization) are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Wenfang Shi. She greatly contributed to the RadTech Asia Organization and the progress of UV/EB technology in the world.Please pass our condolences to her family.

She was one of my best friend in China and I have been encouraged by her every time. Prof. Shi, my heart is with you!
