Today my father would be celebrating his 83th birthday with us. 
    Instead just shy of 4 months since his loss of the battle with cancer, 
    we will be celebrating his birthday without him.
     Let alone that these next few months will be quite tough as well, 
    since we will be experiencing many FIRST holidays without him. 
    Without his belly laughs, it just won’t be the same.
     I wish I could spend time with my family today-remembering my father, 
    having dinner at his favorite restaurant, sharing good memories with the family, 
  laughing at his silliness and crying at our loss......
     It’s amazing how fast these 4 months has gone, yet how unreal it 
    still seems at times. And even though it’s been 4 months, 
    the sadness is still as unbearable at times as it was that very first day.
     Nevertheless, I would like to send this note to my father:
     "Happy Birthday Dad! Happy First Birthday in Heaven! 
    I can only imagine just how amazing it must be to have the first birthday in heaven. 
     Dad-I miss you more than words can express
  and I can’t wait until we see each other again someday. 
   Till then, you will be part of my everyday thoughts. 
     I miss you so very much. I love you! ".
